Dr. R. Asokan is a Plastic, Reconstructive, and Cosmetic Surgeon.  He has practiced in Ocala since 1980.

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Asokan completed his internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.  Following his internship, he had four years of training in General Surgery in Michigan. Dr. Asokan's Plastic Surgery Fellowship was at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Dr. Asokan has served as Chief of Surgery and on various hospital committees. He is active in the community and is serving as Medical Advisor to the School Board Health Occupations Advisory Committee.
